Moon Festival, also known as Mid-Autumn Festival, originally celebrated a bountiful harvest. It is now the second major family gathering event in China after Chinese New Year. Elaborate family dinners are often served outdoors in the glow of the brightest moon of the year. Flickering lanterns dot the dining area and mooncakes are always part of the feast.
This year the Moon Festival falls on Sunday, September 30th. At Lotus Blue chef Kian Lam Kho has created a ten-course tasting menu including house made mooncakes to celebrate this festival.
There will be two seatings with one at 6:30 pm and another at 9:00 pm. This ten-course dinner is priced at $88 per person with an alternative vegetarian menu for $68 per person. Our wine specialist Kristina Sazama will pair wine for the dinner at an additional $30 per person.
Make a reservation for this dinner by calling 212-267-3777. Reserve early as we expect this event to sell out.
